Trick-Or-Treat, Smell My Feet

Ages: All Ages

Duration: 90 minutes (with Workshop)

From the award-winning storytellers of Sockz Theatre comes Trick-Or-Treat, Smell My Feet, a hilarious collection of Halloween-themed short films. Audiences will meet a variety of characters including a zany witch struggling to get in the spooky mood, a rockstar spider, and a ragtag crew of monsters competing in a Mean Monster Pageant. More kooky than spooky, Trick-Or-Treat, Smell My Feet is a perfect way to celebrate Halloween with the entire family!

Accompanying Art Workshop: After the screening, participants will get a “behind the seams” look at Sockz Theatre’s fun and offbeat creative process.  Participants will then have the opportunity to become dynamic storytellers themselves and learn how to create their very own monsters using found objects, recyclables, and other unusual materials. This hands-on workshop is designed to help children (and adults) tap into their inner creative genius. Workshop Materials are included.

About Sockz Theatre: Christian Perry and Eric Tsuchiyama are the creators of Sockz Theatre, a storytelling series which uses puppetry and upcycled art as the primary medium. Their short film "Orbie" was featured in The New York Times' "5 Things To Do This Weekend" in 2022. Their adaptation "Little Speckled Frogs" (2021) was an official selection of Best of BAMkids Film Festival and Children's Film Festival Seattle, where it was awarded Best Art Direction. They also received a 2021 Telly Award for their retelling of the classic, "Three Little Pigs." Christian and Eric both have backgrounds in art and theatre. Through their videos and workshops, they hope to unleash imagination and encourage radical creativity!
