Virtual Workshop
(in partnership with Children's Film Festival Seattle)

All Ages Welcome
Become a dynamic storyteller in this hands-on, virtual workshop with Sockz Theatre! Learn how to integrate character voices, sound effects, and found-object puppetry to tell original stories or classic fables. This workshop is designed to help encourage imagination and radical creativity for the entire family. All are welcome.
Please Note: This workshop will take place in Pacific Time
Materials Needed:
• Lots of imagination!
• A book or a magazine of any shape or size (we won’t be reading them)
• 3-5 recycled materials (cans, bottles, boxes, toilet paper tubes, etc.)
• Any additional art supplies (markers, tape, glue sticks, etc.)

BAMkids Film Festival 2022
February 5–13, 2022
Orbie is an Official Selection at BAMkids Film Festival 2022! Come over to BAM or snuggle up on the sofa at home to join the 24th annual BAMkids Film Festival. We’re screening short films from around the globe that encourage kids to embrace their dreams, follow their hearts, and let their imaginations soar.
JOYFUL SURPRISES (Ages 3-7)

Turn up the joy! In this lively and vibrant mix of animated shorts, characters experience an array of delightful adventures, from waking up the sun to conducting an orchestra. Join us in viewing this collection of the most popular films from this year's BAMkids Film Festival - featuring Little Speckled Frogs! These playful tales from around the globe come alive with vibrant animation, animals, and music. Watch the collection virtually from October 30 - November 7 or with us in-person on November 6 at BAM Rose Cinemas in Brooklyn, NY.

Join Christian & Eric, in partnership with their friends at What A Do Theatre, for hands-on storytelling and puppet-making classes! Over the course of 4 weeks, we will: learn all about upcycling, create our own unique sock puppet characters, and develop original stories.

Celebrate Earth Day on an adventure with Orbie in this virtual family workshop! Join Orbie and the makers of Sockz as we dive deep into the coral reef to explore its wonders and learn about the ways we can help protect these precious environments! You and your family will work together to source recycled materials and use your imaginations to transform them into a unique art piece.
